What personal data may be processed?
Depending on how you use the website, we may process information such as:
- your email address;
- information you actively provide through forms or assessments;
- your responses within the Performance Baseline;
- technical information such as IP address, browser and device data;
- communication preferences and consent status;
- technical logs required to operate and secure the website.
We only process personal data that is necessary for the relevant service, communication, security or legal obligation.
The Performance Baseline
The Performance Baseline is an assessment that evaluates the answers you provide and generates an individual result.
Your answers are processed in order to calculate and display your Performance Baseline result. If you choose to have the result sent by email, your email address is additionally used for this purpose.
The email delivery of your Performance Baseline is a transactional communication. Requesting your result by email does not automatically subscribe you to marketing messages.
Optional Performance Updates
You may separately choose to receive occasional updates from NORMAN PETERMANN about new performance content, tools and projects.
This option is voluntary and is separate from receiving your Performance Baseline result.
If you select the optional update checkbox, we use a Double Opt-in process. This means that you will receive a separate confirmation email. You are only subscribed after you click the confirmation link in that email.
If you do not confirm the Double Opt-in email, no marketing subscription is activated.
You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe from Performance Updates at any time using the unsubscribe option contained in future marketing emails.
Email delivery and Brevo
We use Brevo for transactional email delivery and for managing the optional Double Opt-in process and Performance Updates subscriber list.
If you request your Performance Baseline by email, or voluntarily request Performance Updates, relevant data such as your email address may be transmitted to and processed by Brevo for these purposes.
For Performance Updates, additional internal attributes may be stored to document the source and language of the subscription, for example:
- SOURCE: performance_baseline
- LANGUAGE: selected language of the assessment
More information about Brevo's data protection practices is available on Brevo's own privacy pages.
Why do we process your data?
Personal data is processed only where an appropriate legal basis exists. Depending on the processing activity, this may include:
- processing necessary to provide a service or information you have specifically requested;
- your consent, especially for optional Performance Updates;
- legitimate interests in maintaining, securing and improving the website and its services;
- compliance with applicable legal obligations.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
Website infrastructure
This website is built using WordPress and related website technology. Hosting providers and technical service providers may process technical information required to make the website available, secure and stable.
This may include server logs containing information such as IP address, date and time of access, requested resource, browser information and technical status data.
Such data is generally processed for website operation, security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website may use technically necessary cookies or comparable technologies required for functionality, security or user preferences.
If additional analytics, marketing or tracking technologies are used, the information in this section should be updated to reflect the actual tools in use and, where required, an appropriate consent mechanism should be provided.
How long do we keep personal data?
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as required by applicable legal obligations.
Marketing contact data is retained until consent is withdrawn, the subscription is terminated, or continued retention is no longer necessary.
Technical data and logs may be retained for shorter periods where they are only required for website operation and security.
Your data protection rights
Subject to applicable data protection law, you may have rights including:
- the right to request access to your personal data;
- the right to request correction of inaccurate data;
- the right to request deletion of personal data;
- the right to request restriction of processing;
- the right to object to certain processing;
- the right to data portability where applicable;
- the right to withdraw consent at any time;
- the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

International data processing
Some service providers may process personal data in countries other than the country in which you are located.
Where international transfers require additional safeguards under applicable data protection law, appropriate contractual, legal or technical safeguards should be used.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the website, services, technology or legal requirements change.
